Develop detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, Fusion360, SolidWorks, etc.

Perform preliminary structural framing layouts.

Create and modify custom families/components in Revit and blocks in AutoCAD.

Update designs based on feedback from engineers or architects.
-
Collaborate with engineers on a wide range of building design projects.

Coordinate and assemble drawing packages for building permit and construction documentation.

Maintain drawing standards and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

Carry out field surveys and other site-related coordination as needed.

Generate structural models in analysis software such as SkyCiv, RAM Structural Systems, etc.

BIM coordination with other engineering disciplines and architects as needed to support the project.

Other duties as assigned.

Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering Technology or related training.

4+ years of relevant experience as a Structural Technologist/Drafter in steel, concrete, wood and masonry.

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD (2D/3D) and Bluebeam required.

Working knowledge of on-site construction and construction methodology.

Knowledge of BC Building Codes and applicable material design standards.

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong attention to detail and experience with timber, structural steel and concrete detailing essential.

The ability to manage time effectively and work both autonomously and part of a team is a must.

Registered or eligible to be registered with ASTTBC as a Certified Technician (CTech). Ikon will cover registration and annual renewal fees.

Experience setting up structural models in analysis software such as RAM Structural Systems, Skyciv, Staad.pro etc..

Understanding of computational and generative design tools (Dynamo, Grasshopper etc.).
