Our Company.
Ikon Engineers is a consulting engineering firm built by like-minded professionals who value both technical excellence and the lifestyle that Whistler offers. Founded over ten years ago, the company has grown steadily and deliberately, expanding its team while maintaining a collaborative, hands-on approach to engineering practice.
While Whistler remains our home base, our reach is growing to new geographic locations and our experience is shaped by the diverse professional backgrounds of our people. Our team brings a range of international perspectives and varied technical experience, strengthening our approach to problem-solving and informing how we design, collaborate, and deliver projects across different markets.
Our Values.
At the core of our practice is a commitment to doing the right work, the right way, for the right reasons. Our values guide how we design, how we collaborate, and how we serve our clients and communities.
Courage
We embrace challenges and ask tough questions with confidence, always ready to push beyond the obvious for better solutions. This means advocating strong engineering judgment even when it’s not the easy option.
Integrity
Our work is grounded in trust and professionalism, and we commit to the highest ethical and technical standards in everything we do. We do what’s right consistently, transparently, and without compromise.
Personability
We believe that strong relationships drive better outcomes, so we prioritize clear communication, respect, and approachability in every collaboration. This helps build confidence and alignment with clients and partners throughout the project process.
Excellence
We strive for superior results through thoughtful design, technical accuracy, and ongoing improvement. High-quality, fit-for-purpose solutions are our standard on every project.
Our Rebrand.
Ikon Engineers began as Twin Peaks Engineering, a firm founded in Whistler and inspired by the surrounding mountains and the community we served. That name reflected our roots in the Sea-to-Sky region and the landscape that shaped our early work and values.
As the practice evolved, so did our reach. Our projects, clients, and partnerships expanded well beyond a single geographic area, and our work increasingly reflected a broader range of building types, scales, and locations. While our connection to Whistler remains an important part of our identity, we recognized the need for a name that better represents who we are today and where we are headed.
The transition to Ikon Engineers reflects that growth. “Ikon” speaks to clarity, strength, and enduring design—qualities that align with our approach to engineering. The new name allows us to serve a wider audience without being defined by a specific region, provide additional services through a multi-disciplined environment, while still honoring the principles and standards established from the very beginning.
Our name may have changed, but our commitment to thoughtful design, professional integrity, and strong client relationships remains the same.
Our Team.
